The trip from Oceanside to San Diego is really more of a blip. A hop. 30 miles at the most, during which time a whole lot of nothing happened. The weather was kind of meh and grey but it wasn’t too cold, which is a big gold star in my book. Eli drove the first stretch, giving his parental units the opportunity to torture, harangue, pester and generally act as embarrassing as possible for a teenage boy. This is our favorite pastime. Life is good.
The long-suffering kid
Hiding out from the crazy people
Pt. Loma Lighthouse
We saw a lot of crazy aircraft in Southern California
And a blimp
Coming past the point
A little more
And the city begins
Navy ship on the horizon
More eyes in the sky
Navy helicopters off Mexico's Coronado Islands
The Grand Venus was coming out as we were going in
There's people up there
And it just keeps going
Nala's trying to make friends
With these guys
What a pretty city
Ruins of an old breakwater
Checking in @ the public docks
