Failing Machines

Sewing machine died a couple of days ago, I sent it overboard. They don’t float. It was brand new.

Inverter died yesterday. I bought it used, no warranty.

My last cordless drill battery died today, now I have to wait until after dark to drill holes when the City of Alameda’s light poles energize, we can still plug in through the holes in the bottom of their lock boxes, it just takes deft little fingers that aren’t afraid of a bit of electricity. Two years old and came with a two year warranty.

My laptop’s touch pad appears to be dying, I must restart the machine repeatedly so it will work again. It’s still under warranty but have you ever tried to get to Costco with no car?

I really wanted to leave early early tomorrow morning but we can’t finish the outboard motor mount until dark and we’re hand sewing the damned lifelines and it’s taking FOREVER!

Oh yeah, the alternator’s voltage regulator died yesterday. I replaced the alternator with an inferior type until I can afford a new $300.00 regulator.

What is it with electricity?
