We spent a month in Puerto Vallarta (pre-boat) a couple of years after I got hurt. I was still in a wheelchair and that’s the biggest reason we came–hoping that the much warmer climate and water might loosen up some of the scar tissue in my muscles and help get me moving again. Every afternoon, when the day cooled off, we’d go on “walks,” which were really just a lot of standing around for Steve and Eli, while I painfully inched my way along the sidewalks. Consequently, Eli had plenty of time to see what interesting trash and treasures were to be found on the side of the road. He was especially fond of these little blue tiles that were all over the place, including the pool at the condo we rented.
