The internet here at Cruiseport has been mostly down, so we got a Telcel USB dongle. Of course that’s imperfect. The speed is great but we paid for 3 gigabytes and it says we need to recharge it already, even though their software says that we’ve only used 1.4 gigabytes. Fixing that will require a call to a Mexican phone company. You can imagine what that will be like.
Each day, we have choices to make. Day before yesterday, instead of loading up the whole crew and tromping to some expensive cafe to get some wifi, I chose to do laundry and go grocery shopping. Yesterday I chose to finish the watermaker. That included moving ALL of our canned and dry food storage and most of our tools and spare parts. That was a lot of work. But the watermaker- IT WORKS!
Today I chose to bicycle over to the closest cafe and make a couple of phone calls on Skype and research some electrical problems. This is about all the writing that I can produce today.
I really am sorry that we haven’t been posting more regularly but we’ve been busting ass to get ready to get out of Ensenada. I really want to get out of here before December when the winter storms are more likely to make it down here, we’ve had two so far.
Back to work!
